Thank You

Dear Cpl Danny McMinn, Thank you for your service as an Indirect Fire Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Labor Day weekend. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Not forgotten

I saw the Vietnam Memorial first when I was a college student in DC. It was overwhelming the number of heroes that gave their lives for our country. I did not know any of them and felt it was important to feel more connected. I looked at the registry book and Danny Lee McMinn name's stood out to me as I was born on the day that he died. When I think about the Vietnam War, his heroic sacrifice is always remembered by me and I share it with others when the occasion presents itself. There is a travelling Vietnam Memorial in my town this weekend. This brought to mind Danny right away. Over all these years, he has never been forgotten. I hope to go to pay my respects. Thank you for your service.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear CPL Danny Lee McMinn, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
