Never Forgotten

I have been wearing Lt. Col. McIntire's P.O.W. bracelet since early 1972. Periodically I try to find more information about him or his family but the bracelet on my arm is a constant reminder of him. The bracelet has become historically significant as well since kids will ask me what it is and then I can inform them of the Vietnam war and the soldiers who were lost, many like Lt. Col. McIntire, never to be found. If any of his family reads this please know that I have never removed the bracelet and never will. Every year on December 10th I feel his loss again and will always honor him

Thank You

Dear LTC Scott McIntire, Thank you for your service as a Navigator. You are still MIA. Please come home. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Time passes quickly, but our world needs help. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Be at peace.

Thank you, brother. Although I never knew you, I know that you’ve watched over me... my path followed yours in many ways. I also went to war with the 388th... and eventually ended up in Korat, Thailand. Through my life, you’ve watched over me... thank you. I never knew how deep the connection was going to be when I picked your bracelet during Basic

P.O.W.

I have had your P.O.W. Bracelet since 1971. I just found it in my old jewelry box and thought I’d look you up. We had the same birthday 07/07/1955 I was born! I had that bracelet on for many years until it broke in half. God bless you and another angel watching over me.

Scotty McIntire family friend

Scotty just a few years I learned of your fate from your flight Dec 10th 1971. My mom and dad are gone now and would have surely liked to have know what happened to you after you were shot down. Our family would talk about you often and especially on moms birthday also Dec. 10th. As a small boy I remember your bigger than life personality and your always smiling face. My first plane ride was with you when you took mom and I up in a piper cub in 1964. You will always have a special place in my heart and mind. I think about your two girls often and hope that they or someone who knows their whereabouts gets in touch with me. I have photo of you and Dottie that your girls would like. Patrick Sheldon
