Remembering Brian McConahay
Brian was a friend from high school, younger than I was--he was a freshman when I was a senior. We were both in vocal music, and sang together in a boys' quartet. I only learned of his death a few years ago when I read "To Heal A Nation" and read the list of soldiers whose lives were lost. I was shocked. I still see Brian's aunt and cousin when I return to my native Iowa to visit. Brian, I have not forgotten you. Rest in Peace, my friend.
