honoring you...

Thank you for your service to ur country so long ago sir. It is admirable so many have worn your MIA bracelet and posted remembrances for you here. The love of your sister and her tenacity in trying to bring you home is beyond admirable. It remains my fervent hope she will be successful in doing so...

Gregory Benton Jr.

I came across the braclet I used to wear with Grecory Benton Jr. name on it in the back of my jewerly box. I wore it everyday to think of him for fighting for our freedom. I understand that there might be quite a few of these braclets out there but would be willing to send it to any of the family.

Remembering you on Flag day

I wire the POW/MIA bracelet if Gregory Benton jr when I was a kid in San Diego. Grew up, joined the Army and first duty station was Arlington, Virginia. They built the wall while I was there. I got a rubbing off his name. Came back to San Diego, workered a temporary assignment at Camp Pendleton, for the Army Reserves and saw a photo on the desks there, I exclaimed matter of factly his name. The woman said how do you know him and I explained. It was his sister. I had written to get more information when I was a child, she wrote and sent a photo and that’s how I knew who he was. Amazing “coincidences” in life, never really are, are they? Still MIA as far as I know. Still hoping to see him brought home or found. Happy Flag Day! We remember!

To The Family of Gregory Benton Jr.

I have also proudly worn a silver POW bracelet with Gregory's name on it since I was in high school. With every list of names released I searched for his name and was so disappointed not to find it. As an educator for over 30 years of small children I made sure they understood the meaning of his sacrifice. I will never forget him and continue to pray for his return home.
