honoring you.....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from Pete Gilbert is poignant and harkens back to the carefree days of our youth. Sadly, those days ended much too soon for you. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us….

Thank You

Dear Lt Timothy McCarthy, Thank you for your service as an Infantry Unit Commander with the 1st Cavalry. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Time passes quickly, but our world needs help. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Reading names

On the 35th Anniversary of the Wall I am again reading names, but thinking of Timmy as I do so. He was one of the dearest boys in our class of '59.

Linden Ave. Gang

We had a great time growing up on Linden Avenue. There was a regular gang of which Timmy was a member. Every night we would play a game of hide and seek, kick the can or simply have a game of baseball, using a pink Spauldin Ball, in the middle of the street. Of course an automatic time out was called when a car came.
Timmy, I know you are in the arms of The Lord now. We all miss you very much.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear 1LT Timothy John McCarthy, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
