Your family remembers you always

In so many ways I feel that you have always been near me. I walked through a park in Spokane and saw your name on a memorial. I stood looking at your name carved onto a rock that stood on a quiet hill overlooking the river. As I walked through downtown Seattle I glanced towards the names on a wall and your name was not lost in the corner but at perfect eye level and in plain sight. Many times, I have been reminded of you by others who have seen my name and want to know if I am your daughter. When I first saw my son I was struck by how much he looked like my brother only to be told that he looks more like you. I know that grandma can still hear you laugh during quiet moments in her house. Your brothers, your mother and father, your son and daughter, and your wife have all felt lost without you. Many of us look around and at each other and we see you everywhere and feel you with us.

I miss you O.T.

Owen, On the rainy nights I think of you. I brought your
your body home. I miss your advice and your smooth
jump shot. The five years we spent together was the best/
I still feel someone shot you. You were the best shot
with any gun. I know Cate and Flirt are with you.
