In Remembrance

I salute you in respect for your sacrifice. You now rest peacefully beside your parents. I remember you, and your family. Your dad, while working on his farm. Your mom, who was my second-grade teacher, as well as your sister, who taught me in sixth-grade. Though the war was just ending when it became "my-turn", you were the reason I never hesitated for a moment to do MY duty, and register, even though not called up. It was the least I could do.

A good man

I served with "Mac" in boot camp and later at school in Memphis. He was always trying so hard to be a good Marine and do a good job. Mac was a gentle man with a ready smile for everyone.
Semper Fi!
