We were friends.
Ward Bensen was my best friend for a time in 1969. We served together as platoon commanders in Fox Co. 2/5 in Viet Nam. I gave his name Ward to my oldest son, Gant Ward Newsom. Gant is a fine young man as was Ward. I miss you, Ward.
