From your sister Pat's friend

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord as he was asking, “Whom will I send? Who will go for us?” “Here I am!” I replied. “Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)
Thank you for answering the call and offering yourself in service and sacrifice for the causes of freedom and liberty.
Your name will be forever etched in the Vietnam Memorial, and revered by a grateful nation.
May God bless you and keep you in His loving care.

I was Richard's Squad Leader at the time his death

My name is Larry Meadows and after many years I just visited the Vietnam Memorial in DC. I found Richard's name on the Vietnam Wall Memorial. I was Richard's Squad Leader at the time of his death. If any member of Richard's family sees this post I am going to leave you my e-mail address so you can contact me. I will be more than happy to share the events that lead up to Richard's death with any member of his family. I wish I had contacted his family earlier but I was a 19 year old Marine at the time and didn't really know how to handle his death. If any member of the family would like to contact me through my e-mail here is my e-mail address. [email protected]. I was in 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, Fox company while in Vietnam.
