Remembering An American Hero

Dear 2LT Michael E Bennett, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Dear Uncle

Dear Uncle for whom I am named,
I never met you or felt your touch, but my father so lovingly named me after you. My whole life I have heard stories about you which have instilled many memories for me. You see uncle I cannot walk I have trouble with everyday things people take for granted. I ask often when i will be able to walk, why I am looked at funny, why do I need so many surgeries and I'm 28 years old. Someday my soul will be at peace. Will you please hold my hand while I walk to heaven? It will be my first time on my feet. Please be with me then as you always have been. I have been told in heaven there are no handicaps. Please bring Nana and all my other aunts and uncles. I will need some cheering. Dear uncle tho I have never met you as I recall, you have been in my heart, my sole , my life and I'm so sorry your life was taken from you in such a cruel way. know that you are in your family's hearts forever and we miss you.
