45 Years Is A Long Time
My Dearest,
You were in my foremost thoughts all day today, the day you went back home to God 45 years ago today. In your memory, I lit candles and played your favorite music, The Righteous Brothers and, more importantly, I thought about the short time we had together and how very much I miss you. I have my favorite photo of you on my coffee table, where it is always in full view. You were walking toward me when I snapped the photo when I visited you in Chicago the first and only time before you went to Vietnam and the photo looks as if you could walk right out of it now. Oh, how I wish you could. I have become very involved in the VVMF, their proposed Education Center and the 'Call For Photos'. You are my inspiration for all that I do to obtain photos of all those fallen soldiers and every time I seem to hit a brick wall, you break through and provide me with new ideas and outlets. Together, we have uploaded 170 photos to date and we have facilitated fellow soldiers to again contact each other. I could never have done this without your inspiration. One of the people created a special page to honor you.
I plan on reading some of your letters later today. I wish with all my heart that things could have been different, but everything happens for a reason and someday we will be re-united and our time will be.
All my love forever, Carol

Drove My Chevy to the Levy
Warren was one of the first of us in high school to have a car - a beautiful '57 Chevy convertable. Warren carried me all over the place in it. We drove to football games, picked up classmates after school, and used it to listen to the radio on the day of Kennedy's death.

My Friend
Growing up, Warren was at my house all the time. He took me to get my license with his Chevy convertible. He came to say goodbye before he left for Viet Nam. I'll never forget him and I'll see him again some day in heaven. Love you, Warren.
