My Hero

You'll always be my Hero. Your family welcomed me in when I first met y'all. I hung around all the time with Donnie and then was that one special time with Larry that you never found out about. Seems your Honda was stored in the barn and it was Off-limits, but that didn't stop Larry and me from taking it for a short ride. Although we had to hold it on from both sides and jump on and take off, we never put a scratch on it. I don't recall if it was Uncle Richard or Aunt Sue that caught us when we came back, but the bike never left the barn again with us on it. Oh how I miss those days. It was only many years later that I found out that our Dads went to school together and I'm sure they had their fair share of mischief. I still from time to time keep in touch with your, or my adopted Family whenever I go home to West Virginia. I too learned what it means to serve; however, I can never know what it means to give the ultimate sacrifice.
I love you Dicky, you truly are my Brother and Brother in Arms.
