Man of Honor

Major Boyd E. Morrow of Forty Fort, PA. I never met Maj. Morrow’s family, nor do I know anything about his formative years. My only connection to Maj. Morrow, was serving under him. A finer human, a better man, has not crossed my path since. It has always been my hope to someday meet Maj. Morrow’s family, so that I could tell them what an honor it was to serve with him. Maj. Morrow died doing his job. He took pride in his work, and pride in his men.

He will always and forever be missed.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear Major Boyd Ellis Morrow, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

If I should die...remembrances for MAJ. Boyd Ellis MORROW, USA...who made the ultimate sacrifice!!!!

If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

6th Tran and on the Wall with my Dad

Boyd Morrow served with my Dad in Korea with the
6th Transportation Co. They were at Camp K-6 as
H-21 pilots. They lost a pilot named Ben Humphries and renamed the camp in his honor. My father was killed 6/27/66 in a CH-47 crash. Boyd Morrow was killed doing a test flight on a Huey the next year.
