Mrs Bennett & Dale

Dear Mrs Bennett and Dale,
I also grew up living two doors down from you all, and will never forget that day. I'm sure you are at rest Donny, and we THANK YOU for what you have done for our country. Mrs Bennett, I hope it will make it easier on you when you will be given Donny's Dog Tag and want you to know that the James Street (Sunset Valley) residents will never forget what your son has died for. May God Bless you and your family

This message describes a sweet memory of Donnie that I will always carry with me.

I have a child's memory of Donnie Bennett. Donnie was a teenager who
lived across the street from me. There were a lot of kids on our street
and the older kids usually ignored us younger ones. One day, a puppy
wandered into the yard and chewed up one of my favorite toys. I was
devastated and started to cry. Donnie noticed that I was crying and
came across the street to see why. He gently patted me on the shoulder
and offered some kind words to make me feel better.
