It feels like it was yesterday...

I had posted before & talked about Bill & the wheelies in the snow on his cycle... I remember so many things - so much fun & laughter with our families in the good old 'Burg.

Today, 4/18/04, all those memories were called to the forefront because Bob & I saw the Traveling Wall here in CA. I first did a name rub on Bill in 2001... and then again today. Seeing the picture of Bill at his B.C. in 'Nam was like looking back in time.

My Bob made it thru his two tours of duty in 'Nam, but today - seeing the Wall - seeing all-too-familiar names, brought Bill & all our friends fresh to our minds.

He is missed, but never forgotten. And he will always be loved.

About Bill

About Bill, I remember the uniforms in olive drab with the Special Forces tabs on the shoulder and the name Morris across the chest. I remember the Special Forces prayer on a folding wooden tablet that was presented for his sacrifice. Beyond these items and a few pictures I did not know him.
But I do know Billy, his son, and of him I remember everything. I remember learning soccer from him, playing D & D all night long, jumping together at my airborne school graduation.
I also know Bill Sr., Pappap, and I will always cherish my memories of him golfing with a cigar, fishing in Pennsylvania, praying at my wedding.
Bill Jr., I did not know you well, but I do know you can stand proud with the knowledge that your father and your son have both endeavored as you did to enrich the lives everyone that knows them.
Thank you Bill.

Your children are grown and wonderful with babies of their own..I know you are proud of them. I know our Daddy is with you so take great care of him until we are all together again. All my love to a great man and brother. Kathy

Bill was my cousin and a great person

I was very young when Bill was lost, but I remember when he gave me an army uniform for Christmas. He is loved by all.
