My memory of a Hero
Brian Bennett’s parents went to my childhood church we attended. His brother Iver was my brothers best friend, his was the first funeral I had ever gone to. It was the saddest thing I had experienced in my young life. His parents were truly devastated, their heartbreak was palpable. Now reading what happened to him in Vietnam, I truly understand what a sacrifice he made. We should always be grateful to these young men that sacrificed so much. They gave the ultimate sacrifice to this country and should be forever remembered. I pray that he’s in heaven in the arms of god. And I will meet him there.
