The Ultimate Sacrifice
I never met Monte, but his sister Darla was a High School classmate. I can remember with
crystal clarity the day Darla came to school and told me that Monte had been shot down and was missing. The Vietnam Nam War became personal that day.

This was a great loss for his Family, USAF, and the United States of America. While in Grand Island Senior High School, if you knew anything at all about Monte, you knew he was a Special Person and he was destined for something great. Rest In Peace, Great Warrior!!!
