S.L.O. MARINE KILLED IN VIETNAM
Lance Corporal Michael Robert Miner, 20, a native and life-long resident of San Luis Obispo has been killed in Vietnam, according to word received by his parents from the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Miner of 45 Rafael Way were informed their son suffered fragmentation wounds when a vehicle in which he was riding detonated a hostile mine near Da Nang on Sept. 4. Corporal Miner was born Oct. 20, 1946. He attended public schools here and graduated from San Luis Obispo Senior High School in 1965. He also attended Cuesta College.
