Hello my name is Drew Bunting and I am this remembrance as part of the Gridley High School Posting Project. I would like to express just how proud I am to be known as a member of this great nation. Being able to say that I live in the same country as that of an individual who was not only willing to defend his own home but also a home of a foreign people.

My name is Jesse MacDonald, and as part of the Gridley High School posting project, I am posting this remembrance for you, someone that I never knew, and due to your courage and sacrifice, I never shall know. In the New Testament of the Bible, it states “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Well, you did the Good Book one better sir. You gave your life for those who never knew you, and many of whom will never appreciate what you have done for them. I, on the other hand, recognize all-too-well what you have done for me, and for that I am eternally in debt to you. God bless you, soldier, you’ve done a good job.

My name is Noel Ulrich and I currently attend Gridley High School. My sociology class is working on a Posting Project. So taking the time to honor you and your achievements is such a great honor to me. Everything you fought for is being greatly enjoyed, I only wish you could see what a breathtaking country you fought for, and I’m sure you recognize it was well worth your sacrifice.
