Kenneth Bruce Millhouse
When Bruce first arrived in Nam, he was assigned to my squad Mike Plt. Co B 1/28th 1st.Div. We were close friends. He later grew tired of the regular line company and joined recon, We may still have him if he would have stayed w/ us. I think of him often, the world is missing a great guy. I was contacted by a relative of his about 4 months ago & I sent her copies of pictures of him. Bruce you are not forgotten, REST IN PEACE.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SP4 Kenneth Bruce Millhouse, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

I was the platoon leader for the 1st of 28th recon the night Bruce was kia (Lt. Bud Gross was on RR) - Bruce was a great leader and soldier - Still to this day can not figure out why it was necessary to be sent out on an ambush after what we had gone through that day

Best friend & Pointman a Platoon Leader every had.
Bruce was full of life and laughter. He shared everything with the guys and we always could count on him. He even had his bow shipped from Alaska .. we did a little target practice with it. We thought it might carry those LRRP flares up high. Man I think of you and your family and still believe you were loved by so many that you would never leave. When I came back from R&R and someone told me you had been killed ...I lost a best friend and brother..so many of us have lost contact but in my heart I know each man who knew you still remembers you.
