NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die

I will always remember......

I went to high school with "Mike" and belonged to the same car club as him. We often had car club parties and drank beer together. Mike was married to Sue, a very wonderful woman and a very good person. I know the last time they saw each other, Mike was on R & R. Sue was going to have his baby boy. That was the last time they saw each other. The night I found out of his death was a night that I lost a very good friend and someone I will always remember as kind and gentle. He was the type of person that would do anything, had a good sense of humor and loved life. I miss you today Mike. I hope your son grew up exactly like you. Take care buddy, God keep you. Tom Gainer.
