Specialist Four Jeff Miller was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V), for his exemplary gallantry in action. He was also awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Merit for his sustained meritorious service. He served as an Indirect Fire Crewman and was assigned to D CO, 3RD BN, 506TH INFANTRY, 101ST ABN DIV.

Dear Sp4 Jeff Miller, Thank you for your service as an Infantry Direct Fire Crewman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Columbus Day just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I was your 16th birthday present. You spoiled me rotten. My last memory of you was when you came home and we celebrated our birthdays with a chocolate cake. Each year is a sad celebration because you aren't with me anymore.

It has been 47 years and yet the memories remain strong as though it were only last week. God bless and protect all the men and women who have served and are currently serving in our military. My special thanks to your military family that served with you in Vietnam. I would love to hear from any one that served with you.
