To my brother Oscar Charlie Bell
Today I looked for you on the web, almost 50 years after your death, and I found you and this website. It is still painful to remember you're gone. There is always a sting before my heart since you left. I see here there were many who came to know you as the loyal, true to the cause person that you were. To me, you were my big brother, to me you kept everything together, to me you were the bravest person I ever knew. I know you know what a loss you were to us. I just wish I had been more mature to understand the impact of of what was happening at that time. I have all your letters, though I knew you loved me then, I understand now how much you loved me and cared for me. You were a huge loss to us and Charlie followed you two years later. I lost my 2 big brothers. I miss you Puggy. I look for you always. I am thankful you had so many friends and that you were not alone.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear PFC Oscar Charlie Bell Jr, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
