Life time of knowing you, but never knowing you
I bought my POW/MIA bracelet when I was a freshman in High School in 1970. I wore that bracelet everyday for 20 something years. After we were told that all bodies had been returned to the US, I removed your bracelet and put it in my jewelry box for safe keeping. I am now planning a trip to Viet Nam, and will bring your bracelet with me. I hope to get as near to the area in Quang Binh Province where your aircraft was hit by enemy fire, and I will bury that cherished bracelet in the ground in your honor. This is something that I promised myself that I would always do, and in a few months, I will get that chance to keep that promise. I have spent a lifetime knowing you, but never knew you, this will be my closure.

Frank was my uncle
Frank Midnight was my uncle on my mother's side. My grandparents, Wilbur and Margaret Midnight, were his parents. I was very young when we lost Frank, but I do remember my grandmother and mother talking about his plane being shot down. I remember coming home from early grade school one afternoon and seeing my mom crying because she received the news of Frank's plane crash. It is very comforting to read memorials about Frank and people wearing Frank's bracelet. August 23, 2017 was the 50th anniversary of his plane crash. If anyone is willing to part with his bracelet, I would very much love to receive it. Thank you.
