Thank You

Dear PFC James Merz, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is another autumn. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

My sister's first crush

Jim was in my class at Lincoln Elementary. He was also the safety boy on our corner (Edgeworth and 11 Mile). My little sister had the biggest crush on him. She would hang out on the corner with him. She was probably somewhat annoying but he always treated her with kindness. RIP Jimmers (that's what my sister called him). You were a gentleman and a hero!

Jim, a good friend

Jim was a good friend of my older brother, Roger Couture. We grew up in the same neighborhood with Jim. Roger often speaks of his good buddy and how he died in Nam. A terrible tragedy like so many Veterans. My brothers made it back home without injury.

I write this note with deep sadness from Roger, Gary and myself. Thank you Jim, for giving your all.

I love you, Uncle Jim.

I am Michelle, Your Neice. My dad(John) tells me so many stories to this day about you, and often compares the two of your relationship to that of my sons..so many stories from when you were young! I've heard stories of how amazing you were, and down to earth! I wish all the time that I could have had a chance to meet you! I'll be uploading some pictures of you to your remembrance pages! We love you.. photo is of my boys and myself.
