My First Cousin

Cousin, I was about 14 years old when you lost your life fighting for our Country. At the same time My Brother Roger ( Joseph Roger Watts) was in Vietnam. I remember a lot about you even though I was very young I never forgot you. Cuz you have never been forgotten by any of your family we all love, miss you but the way we all have were able to deal with your passing on is our faith in God knowing that you are in a much better place than we are and believing that if live our life or accept Jesus Christ as our Savior we shall see you again. Love you Cousin.

Loving Brother

I vaguely remember the last time I saw you before you left for your tour in Vietnam. I was around eight years old. I had no idea that would be the last time I saw you. You were a loving brother who I have always looked up to and admired. Like too many others you gave your life serving your country. However, I am thankful for the short time you were a part of my life. Treasuring those moments carry me through life.

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Alvin Merricks, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is another autumn. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
