A Warrior from the Delta

E G we knew each other by name and when I saw your remains at home I cried so much. I cry today for your sacrifice for our country. Your giving set my course for the Navy which shows you are the most brave soul from McGehee.
See you on the other side. You are not forgotten.

Hometown Hero

E.G. (Butch),

You were 7 years older than me. I was only 12 when you died. I remember, though. My mom and your mom were very good friends. They also worked together. I remember when my mom told me. Thank you for your service. Thank you from myself, my family, my mom, and our hometown, McGehee. You make us proud. But you would have done that without the dying part. May you be at peace.
