The Battle of An Son
Captain Belcher was killed in the Battle of An Son in the Hiep Duc Valley after his unit approached a forward base area of the 1st VC Regiment, 2nd NVA Division.
His company quicky became outnumbered, though they survived the night on their own. In the process, Road Belcher fell in battle.
I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who was there.

DEAR CAPTAIN BELCHER,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AS AN AIRBORNE QUALIFIED INFANTRY UNIT COMMANDER. IT IS A NEW YEAR, WHICH MAKES IT FAR TOO LONG FOR YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE.. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE SAINTS AND ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE.
