Never Forgotten

My mother and I both had bracelets back in the 70’s.Mine was lucky enough to return. My mom had Capt. Glenn Belcher. She is gone but I kept her bracelet. I just now looked up your name to see if I could get information about you. I can now stop wondering. I want to thank you for your service and for making the ultimate sacrifice. May your soul be at peace.

Thank you for your service

I don’t know what made me search for Major Belcher this morning. I wore his bracelet during my college years (graduated in 1970) and even for some years after. When we visited Washington with our children sometime in the late 80’s, I found his name on the wall. I was fortunate enough to be able to return the bracelet to his mother through an organization for the families. I corresponded with her and received wedding pictures.I have never forgotten him or his family.

I wore Capt. Glenn Belcher's bracelet, too.

I've searched many times trying to find out what happened to you Capt Belcher. Now I know. Thank you for your service, Sir. I had hoped to one day hand you my bracelet. Now, I'll settle for seeing you in heaven with a big hug, and my heartfelt thanks for your ultimate sacrifice.
