Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died just seven days before your 21st birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

Dear Sp4 Alan Matte, Thank you for your service as a Huey, UH-1 Helicopter Repairer. The 53rd anniversary of the start of your tour is next week. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Independence Day just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Dear Alan, We were such tight childhood friends, you, me, and Lu. I saw you just before you left for the service. I'll never forget you and will always shed a tear when I think of you. You are never far from my thoughts. Love, Diane
