UPDATE OF jOE'S KIA STATUS REVIEW 2016
Our family presented new evidence to DOD and AF personnel on 5 Feb 2016 to show cause for Joe's KIA status to be reviewed in order to change it back to MIA. As soon as Sec of the Air Force renders their decision on our new evidence, I will post the news. We firmly believe he was taken prisoner and not killed in his plane crash. Go to Joe's FB page for other updates.

Now I know you
I ordered my braclet in 1975 (?). I have had it this long and never could find any information about Joseph. It is a silver one with black lettering. At one time I would have love to find his family to give it to them. I still wish they could have it. I want to thank him and hope to thank him in person some day.

My bracelet
I used to live just up the street from Joseph in East Meadow and I also have bracelet for him when he was killed in Vietnam. My sister was friends with his sister and I subsequently married a man who served in Vietnam and had two children and now, four grandchildren. I don't wear the bracelet often but keep it in memory of Joseph along with the newspaper article about him. I remember his mother Mary well. I am sad about the way we treated the returning vets and how my own husband at the time felt coming back in 1969. He served during the Tet offensive. Hope we learned our lesson and support our military more ow.
