I WILL NEVER FORGET...ALWAYS REMEMBERED...

Donni, I was your mom and dad's neighbor and friend for over 20 years... I knew you through the stories they shared and the pictures they showed me...your room stood still in time, the same as you left it...your mom would clean it and put everything back...your mom passed away and your dad sold the house and moved...your mom Lidia she was a wonderful great lady and a good family friend...made my first born a set of crib sheets...34 years ago... and gave him a horsey savings bank...that he treasures...I will use it for my grandson and pass the story on...Lidia and Mac your parents missed you every day of their lives...I know that you had to see them in heaven...because the soul never dies...as she told me countless of times...you volunteer to go...because your cousin was being drafted and you wanted to be with him...he came back but her only son was gone...It gives you more merit for being a good person a loving person...an unselfish and brave act...Its an honor to know you and will always remember...a story my children know and will live on through generations...your dad gave me your medals which one day i will take to Arlington to display...and along your story...of a Brave young men that loved his family and his country and of a family that was proud but cried everyday because they missed their only son...May GOD be with you and the families that have lost their loved ones thru senseless wars throughout the centuries...May GOD Bless this Nation and ALL of the Nations and let us pray for PEACE, UNDERSTANDING, and UNITY for ALL MANKIND...! ...and you and your family will always live on in our hearts and memories...through eternity...Thank you...Lidia and Mac for sharing your only child with us...GOD BLESS... - See more at: http://www.vvmf.org/Wall-of-Faces/3264/LARKIN-M-BEGGS-JR#sthash.zK1TG4dx.dpuf

Another brother

Not a biological brother, but those who were young Marines, during that terrible time period that Marines were being lost every day in Vietnam, all seem like my brothers. That's because my dad saw his young Marines as sons. Spending time on these pages has been a painful reminder of what went on back in the 60s, when I was a teenager, but you deserve to be remembered more than I need to not be reminded. You were a good Marine. Some of your friends have said that, and that's the greatest tribute I can think of!

To Put A Face With A Name

Dear Larkin, to honor your memory and the sacrifice you made for your country I want to make sure your photo will be displayed on your birthday each and every year when the Education Center is completed, so it is with great pride and humility that I post this remembrance and picture of you. You are not forgotten and remain in the hearts of many all these years later. You have been designated to be one of God's special angels, along with the love of my life, who also sacrificed his life during this war 45 years ago. God Bless You, Larkin, for being who you were and for all you did--we live in freedom to this day thanks to heroes like you.
