Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died five days before your 21st birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Salvatore Mancuso, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Yesterday was the 76th anniversary of Operation Overlord. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Never Forgotten

You are always remembered, dear cousin. Thank you, on this day, and always, for your ultimate sacrifice. We will always miss you and pray for you. Say hi to all our dear relatives who have since joined you, especially Aunt Tess & Uncle Pete, and my dad, who use to tell me stories of how he would kid around with you when you were young. We miss you and everyone. Thank You, Sal, on Memorial Day and always, always missed.

Daddy Pete's

As a fellow OHS (1971) graduate I joined the Marines right after high school. While home on leave with orders for the Far East/Southeast Asia, I would frequent your Dad's soda shop for a burger, fries, and a soda. I learned of your death in Vietnam. In the several times during my leave I visited Daddy Pete's not a dime did your Dad take from me. I'll never forget him and wish I knew you Sal. I ended up spending some time in Vietnam. I still live in Ossining and I as walk by the vacant lot were the building once stood were Daddy Pete's was my memories fly back to those summer days while on my leave. I would have been proud to have served with you Sal.
