My namesake

I never was able to meet you in person but I was blessed with being your namesake. I remember walking down your parents hall in Seadrift Texas and a memory box with your military metals was proudly displayed on the wall. Your parents would tell me stories of how they loved you and that you passed fighting for our freedoms. Thank you cousin!

Growing up on Cypress Street, Houston, TX

David was 5 years older than me. I was oldest of 3 boys, so had no big brother. David was closest to that I had. He'd ride us around on a Moped. All over Southwest part of town. Every so often we'd run out of gas and he'd have to pedal us back home. We lived across the street from each other. Remember the day he left. And the day I came home from school and my Mom was crying. Thanks for your service David.
