The bravest of the brave !
1st. Lt.Beck was the most respected officer You could ever meet ! As one of his platoon grunts I would have followed him anywhere !!! Lt. Beck was the living example of what an officer and a gentleman .

The horrible news reached me in a mail from SGT. Stan Rodan 3 days after I arrived home. He was also distraught. He remembered the 500 rummy games we played when we set up for the night. May God Bless you and receive your soul my dear and close friend.....
