We Will Remember

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

You and Ricky Probst

I know that several hundred sixth graders from China Grove Middle School will remember you because I was their teacher and I taught them about you and the other Ricky. We read your profiles about your military service but then I would ask the kids to speculate about who you were, what you liked to do. We looked you up in the year books and of course one of the girls would say "wow he was good looking." I taught about you both on the Friday before Memorial Day. I hoped and believed I could bring the meaning of Memorial Day to light, to understanding , to purpose. There were more than a few tears shed that day, especially mine. Live on in memory, live on in history, live on in the memorial is downtown China Grove. God Bless and Keep you Jim Wohlgemuth, USN, Vietnam 69-72

Thank You

Dear PFC Ricky Lowder, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. 45 years ago today, the president declared it the end of the war. It was not. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
