honoring you...

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You

Dear PFC Peter Lovett, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. 45 years ago today, the president declared it the end of the war. It was not. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Peter, you left your family way too soon

Peter, I was very good friends with your little brother Richie. I remember your Dad working at the cab company, and he was our building's super, Your family was large and very generous to me... taking me to their bowling league. Many missed you when you passed, and you were loved. Your girlfriend, who was a leader in our Navy Sea Cadets, seemed to take it hardest.

Peter, you were loved. You gave your life for all Americans and we're grateful for your service. You left us way too young though. MAY GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Peter Louis Lovett, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
