Kia Ora my fellow Kiwi Corporal

Kia Ora James, I served in Vietnam as a Corporal with Victor 3 Company, part of the ANZAC Bn, Fourth Australian Regiment. We will not forget you my brother.. We are proud of your service with our American friends and every ANZAC Day, 25 April, we will lay a poppy for you. God bless America and New Zealand. Rest in Peace James.

Thank You

Dear Cpl James Lott, Thank you for your service as an Air Traffic Controller. Your 52nd anniversary is in 3 days. I researched you on your 73rd birthday, happy birthday. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. The 45th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon just passed, and it is still sad. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Friend of my Father

Today I went to visit the travelling wall. I sent my dad a message asking if there were any names in particular I should look for. James E Lott was the name he gave me. You served with my dad from California to Vietnam. I do not know many stories of what was encountered over there as my dad does not like to talk about, but you must have been very important to him for him to tell me to find your name. Thank you Mr. Lott for you service, for your ultimate sacrifice and for your friendship to my father. R.I.P

Going to the Wall next month, Jimmy.

Today is the 50th anniversary of your death in Vietnam, and your classmates from Mt Albert Primary and Kowhai Intermediate are remembering you today. I plan to go to the Wall next month, and will share this, too.
