Hector Lopez "Above the Rest!
Pvt. Hector Lopez was a member of 1st platoon, "Cold Steel Cobra"Company 1st Bn 327 Infantry, 1st Bde 101st Airborne. He deployed out to Nam in July '65 with the first contingent of US combat troops. On 6 Oct. '65 Hector was killed in action in a paddy field east of Qui Nhon. He is still remembered by his comrades and his name is called by Cobra Company's 1st Sgt at their annual reunion.
