Thank you PFC Richard Donald Aday
I want to thank you Richard Donald Aday, for your courageous and valiant service, faithful contribution, and your most holy sacrifice given to this great country of ours!
Your Spirit is alive--and strong, therefore Marine, you shall never be forgotten, nor has your death been in vain!
It is Heroes like you, that made it possible for others like myself, to return home to lead full and free lives. I am grateful forever to you for that.
Again, although we never met personally, thank you PFC Richard Donald Aday, for a job well done!
REST IN ETERNAL PEACE MY MARINE FRIEND

Tall Blonde and good looking, then why did I mistake him for Taylor who was Tall and with Black hair.
His was the sixth and last poncho I looked at all stacked neatly in two rows of three in there private part of the LZ.
I looked twice to be sure and even told a Lt in the rear that
his man Taylor was dead.
Taylor it turned out was trying to look like a tree in a hedgerow, along with Dan Brandjes. We had left them behind, and they were ducking an artilliary barrage and NVA running past them.
Aday was with the second platoon and was well liked. He still owes me a quarter, but I forgive him for that.
I think of him often, and believe he was married and a father.
