MISSED YOU FOR MANY YEARS
I remember going to your mom's and the same catholic church when I was growing up. I am the son of William (Rocky) J Ahern Sr. I do not remember any kin from Mobile besides Frankie and your mom. I often wonder how we slipped apart. I did join the day I turned 17 and did 2 tours from 73 to 75; the end. I was able to come home and have a long life. I have been to the wall in D.C. about 10 times and never ever miss going to your panel each time. I was a child when you left but felt proud when I joined and often thought of you.

Thank You
Dear PFC Joseph Lilley, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Today is Easter Tuesday, and Passover. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear PFC Joseph Emmett Lilley, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
