Specialist Four John Joseph Levulis was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroism and extraordinary achievement while engaged in aerial flight. He served as a Flight Qualified Medical NCO (Combat Medic) and was assigned to the 498TH MED CO (AA), 61ST MED BN, 67TH MED GROUP, USARV MED CMD.

It was a Sad Day when "Butch" was Killed. I never flew with him but I know he was a great medic.

Dear Sp4 John Levulis, Thank you for your service as a Flight Qualified Medical NCO. Thank you for the lives you saved. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy Spring! It is Holy Week and Passover is also this week. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

I had the honor and privelege of flying with John "Butch" Levulis. Great man, great Medic. Many are alive today because of him.
