A Silver Bracelet

Many years ago when I was a teenager, I became very interested in the Vietnam War. I had classmates growing up who had lost love ones in the war, but I personally had not been affected. I had aspirations of becoming a nurse and serving my country in Vietnam. I did become a nurse but never had the opportunity to go into the armed forces.
The reason I'm writing this is that for many years, I wore a silver bracelet in remembrance of Captain Jefferey C. Lemon, missing in action since 4-25-1971, and always wondered if he had ever been found. I was searching the web for information on the influence of war on nursing and came across this website and I now know he was never found. To the family of Captain Lemon, my sympathy. I admire all of the men and women who have served this country with honor and dignity. Sincerely, Bobbi Vaughan Diaz

I Remember Jeff

Jeff Lemon and I went through RTU together and went to SEA together, he to Danang, I to Phu Cat. We roomed together at Clark while going through "Snake School". I last saw Jeff at Danang on my way to R&R in Mar 71. I shall not forget the night I heard of Jeff's loss at an Intell briefing. My heart sank, he was one that I knew well. It has been a long time. To any of his family and friends, we lost a great man.

Another POW/MIA bracelet, image, synopsis

When I was in highschool, I eagerly watch the TV, each time POWs returned to the U.S., hoping to see my POW come safely home. Sadly I never did. I wore my POW/MIA bracelet until it broke in two. I, then, set out to find any information available, about Major Lemon. Attached is the information I managed to find. I, too, served in the United States Air Force, and was honored to wear the POW/MIA bracelet of Major Jeffrey Lemon. My condolences go out to the family of Major Jeffrey Lemon.
Sincerely,
S. Allee

Another Silver Bracelet

I too wore a bracelet for years with the inscription "Capt. Jeffrey C Lemon 4-25-71".
I now know the true ending. May all those heros be remembered forever.
