To a friend I never forgot

Bill, I have thought of you ever since that horrible day on April 19th 1968. I'm sorry I had you take my place in the truck that day, If I would have only known.
I hope your un-born child grew up to know who you were and what a great person and Marine you always were. You were a great friend and I still miss you
