Remembering Our Fallen Heroes

It has been a long time but on this Memorial Day I am thinking of Jerry, James, Daniel and Joseph, which I have done many times over the years. My last assignment was with the 510th Signal Company as a First Lieutenant after serving most of my time with the 556th at Pr’Line Mountain. I left Vietnam in March of 1972 and heard about the cowardly attack by the VC from Chaplain Andersen and Specialist Bob Martinez. I was and still am very sorry about the loss of these fine men and soldiers . They now are warriors for eternity. I am sorry I have not made any comments before but my thoughts were always there. I was proud to have served with Jerry, James, Daniel and Joseph in the short time I was with the 510th,
May These Heroes Rest In Peace .

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Jerry Laws, Thank you for your service as a Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. For many of us, we have begun Lent. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Jerry Dee Laws

My Dad, Kenneth A Wilson was with Jerry in Vietnam. I’ve rubbed his name off on the wall twice now for him. My Dad has a beer in his honor every year. Kenneth was injured on the day Jerry passed away, but luckily he is alive and well today. I often think of him and his family. His memory will live on

Great man.

Although his death occurred long before I was born, I am extremely proud to call that man my uncle.
