Johnny was my childhood friend from the age of 5 til he quit school in our junior year of high school. He joined the service while living in Romona,Ca not Ill. He re-enlisted in Ill.. to my knowledge he left behind a wife and two children. I keep a pictire of him on my desk and have for better than 20 years, he was my friend and I'll never forget him. If someone were to ask me who my hero was it would be Johnny , along with my other childhood friend who died in Viet Nam Duane Bowen
