Thank You

Dear Captain Thomas Larkin, Thank you for your service as an Utility/Observation Helicopter Pilot. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. For many of us, we have begun Lent. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

What to say?

I was a boy of 10 years when you were killed. We were 14 years apart, but went to the same Catholic School and church. Your death was the first time I realized the meaning of war.

You have meant far more to me than I to you. I can't make sense of your death or of the grief of your parents, but I can say that you are remembered by a little boy in the crowd at 10 AM Mass.

You were never forgotten. I attach a photo of the interior of St. Peter's church.
