Dear PFC George Large, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. For many of us, we have begun Lent. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Dear PFC George Wayne Large, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

PFC Large, you had been there and done that in Vietnam! You are another of Elizabeth's brave and true heroes, who gave his all to defend liberty everywhere! You fought for the right, without question or pause! Your name and fame are the BIRTHRIGHT of EVERY American citizen! You fought for the right without question or pause! You set out with justice in your heart, to fight for freedom and justice for ALL! I strongly believe that Avonmore's own Jill Corey, whom I admire strongly as one of my three top favorite songbirds of all time, along with Julie Andrews, England's musical queen, and another thrush from England, Dusty Springfield, would be very proud of your service to our great country, and the sacrifices made by you to keep our country free! Dear George, to honor your memory and the sacrifice you made for our country I want to make sure your photo will be displayed on your birthday each and every year when the Education Center is completed, so it is with great pride and humility that I post this remembrance with your graduation photo from the 1964 Elizabeth High School Yearbook. You are not forgotten and remain in the hearts of many all these years later. You have been designated to be one of God's special angels, along with the love of my life, who also sacrificed his life during this war 45 years ago. God Bless You, George, for being who you were and for all you did--we live in freedom to this day thanks to heroes like you.
