Remembering my Brother, Nick Lannoye
I remember riding your bike when you left for Nam. I felt so close to you I guess it was a kids way of hanging onto a brother she Loved So Much! Not a day has gone by that I haven't thought about you and what you would have done with your life. I still to this day Miss You So Much.... I know it's been 48 yes, but to me it's like yesterday. Final Mission of CPL Nicholas P. Lannoye
CPL Nicholas P. Lannoye served with B Company, 2nd Battalion, 505th Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division. On October 10, 1969, while executing a raft river crossing in the Hau Nghia Province, South Vietnam, his unit was fired on by enemy forces. CPL Lannoye jumped out of the raft but was unable to save himself. He drowned trying to save fellow soldier Morse. [Taken from virtualwall.org and vvmf.org]
