Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Christian Alan Langenfeld, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

My friend Chris!

Chris was my high school friend. I last saw him the day he quit high school to join the Marines. I joined the Marines the day after I buried him in Fond Du Lac! Semper Fi, Chris. I think of you often!

Thank you, brave soldier

I am a senior from Gridley High School of Gridley IL. For a history assignment, I am creating remembrances for those men and women who served and perished during the Vietnam War. I want to take this opportunity to thank Christian Alan Langenfeld, a man who fought and gave up his life for Americans everywhere. His bravery has inspired many and I am very proud of him. Thank you, Christian. On this day, you are remembered.
